Bruichladdich – 17 Year Old Rum Cask (70cl, 46%)

A 17 year old single malt from Bruichladdich, described as the first rum-finished Laddie. It spent 15 years in bourbon barrels, followed by a further two years in casks that had held Bruichladdich's Renegade rums. Those rums were made from spirit from the Uitvlugt and Enmore distilleries in Guyana, which also supplied the El Dorado range. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Oak and caramel come first, with a touch of pepper and dried muesli on the palate.
