This is an 18 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, distilled on 9 June 2008 and bottled on 9 June 2026 by Halcyon Spirits as Release #7. It comes from a single cask, number 1627, and was bottled at a cask strength of 57.3% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered, of natural colour, and filled 185 bottles.
The final three years of maturation were spent in a fresh Oloroso sherry hogshead.
The nose combines sea breeze, wet stone and barley sugar with walnut, dried apricot and orange peel. On the palate it is creamy, with peach, baked apple, raisin and fig. The finish is medium-long to long, with drying nuttiness, oak spice and dark honey.
