A single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, distilled in 1969 and matured in oak casks for 20 years. Signatory Vintage bottled it in 1990 at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
The nose opens on orange squash and fresh hazelnuts, followed by peaches, gooseberries, brine, almonds and honey. The palate is round and creamy, with apricot jam, acacia honey, cornflakes, marzipan and milk chocolate, and a slight oak bitterness. The finish is fairly short and a little maltier, with coffee.
