The whisky was matured in cask 007, a combination of bourbon and Pedro Ximénez casks.
Bruichladdich stands on the north shore of Loch Indaal on Islay, across the water from Bowmore. It uses open stills that are not especially tall, and it runs the only bottling operation on the island.
