This is the third edition of Bruichladdich's 20 year old single malt, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and then spent time in Malmsey Madeira casks. The Madeira influence is kept at a measured level, adding a rich, spicy cooked fruit flavour to the malt.
It is often suggested as an after-dinner dram, or as a companion to a cigar.
