Bruichladdich – 2010/2024 13 Year Old Micro-Provenance Single Cask #1216 (70cl, 61%)

This is a 13 year old unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, drawn from a single first-fill bourbon cask, number 1216. It was bottled at 61% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The spirit was made from Optic barley and filled into the cask on 31 May 2010, then bottled in 2024. The outturn was 204 bottles. It belongs to the Micro-Provenance series. The nose combines vanilla and honey with lemon, a hint of sea salt and a spicy touch of clove. Caramel and vanilla lead the palate, with malt, almonds and fresh citrus. The finish is long, with oak, white pepper and lingering malty sweetness.
