An unpeated 10 year old single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022 as part of the distillery's Barley Provenance series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. The barley is bere, an ancient grain believed to be the oldest cultivated cereal crop in the UK, grown in Orkney. Its yields are low, so distillers rarely use it. The spirit spent ten years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and is bottled without colouring or chill filtration. It is described as spicy and fruity, with a creamy texture.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
