Refill hogshead
A 28 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, independently bottled by Hunter Laing for The First Editions series. It matured in a refill hogshead from 1991 to 2019 and was bottled at cask strength, 50.7% ABV, in an outturn of 295 bottles. On the nose it is grassy malt with honeyed cereal, sea breeze and melted butter. The palate is spicier than the nose suggests, with cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted oak, followed by plenty of apricot, pear and apple. The finish carries layers of toffee, oat, lemon and black pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
