Bruichladdich – 30 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a 30 year old single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured entirely in bourbon casks. Half of the whisky spent its full maturation in refill hogsheads. The other half began in refill hogsheads and was moved into fresh bourbon casks after 20 years. The casks were vatted together and matured further, then rested for three months in refill bourbon barrels before bottling. It is described as delicate yet complex, with a hint of dark chocolate alongside an elegant floral character and a gentle touch of sea air.
