A 30-year-old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled independently by Elixir Distillers in the Director's Special range of its The Single Malts of Scotland series. It was bottled in 2024 after 30 years in a hogshead, at 48.3%, in an outturn of 218 bottles.
The nose is summery, with elderflower, nettle and honeysuckle alongside earthy tones, gingerbread and aniseed. The palate is delicate, with honeyed water, herbs, tarragon, mint, spice cake, lemon and orange oil. The long finish returns to elderflower, with layers of spice following the sweeter notes.
