This is a 10 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, made with Bere barley, one of the oldest barley varieties in Britain. The barley was grown in Orkney, harvested from five farms in 2012, and the whisky then matured for 10 years in oak casks. It is bottled at 50% ABV, and 3,200 bottles were filled.
The colour is golden yellow. The nose is floral, with green apple, lime, ripe peach and vanilla. On the palate come fresh peach, apricot, ripe apple, chocolate and spice. The finish is long, with gingerbread, marzipan and barley sugar.
