Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2013 is a single malt made from bere, a heritage barley variety. It was distilled in 2013 and is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in bourbon barrels and Pauillac wine casks, and is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
Fresh green fruits and lightly spiced gingerbread are the notes picked out for it. The nose is malty with sweet fruits. The palate is delicate and balanced, with malt and sweet fruit meeting oak spice. The finish is sweet and fruity, with more oak spice.
