Bruichladdich – Black Art 08.1 26 Year Old (1994-2020) (70cl, 45.1%)

Black Art 08.1 is a 26 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2020 at 45.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition of 12,000 bottles in the Black Art series, and the casks it matured in have not been disclosed. The nose brings dark honey, dried figs, cocoa, red berries and soft oak. On the palate come rich chocolate, raisins, toffee, roasted nuts and a hint of spice, creamy in texture. The finish is long and warming, with oak, caramel and dark fruit.
