Bruichladdich – Black Art Edition 10.1 1993 29 Year Old (45.1%)

Black Art Edition 10.1 is the tenth edition of the Bruichladdich Black Art series. It was distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2022 at 29 years old and 45.1%, in its natural colour and without chill-filtration. It is made on Islay from 100% Scottish barley and Islay spring water. The nose is warm, with bright fruit, roasted oak, chocolate praline, cedar, leather, cloves and nutmeg, moving to apricot jam, ripe melon, dark cherry and blackcurrant. The palate has orange barley sugar, ginger nut biscuits, lemon meringue, apricot jam and marzipan, with chocolate and vanilla from the oak. The finish is soft, with ripe soft fruit, a little tobacco and ginger.
