Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2013 is an unpeated Islay single malt made with barley grown on seven farms across the island. It was distilled in 2013 and matured for approximately eight years in a mix of 75% first-fill American oak and 25% French wine casks. It is bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, in a 70cl bottle. The nose brings citrus, honey, ripe peaches, apricots, vanilla, marzipan and florals with a light maritime freshness. The palate is creamy, with malted barley, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar and orchard fruits, plus sea salt, ginger and oak. The finish is long, with honeyed citrus, soft oak and a little coastal salinity.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
