Bruichladdich Laddie Origins is a limited single malt released for the 2021 Feis Ile, bottled on 5 June 2021 at 56.3% in a 70cl bottle. Only 3000 bottles were filled. It is a composition of 13 casks spanning 12 vintages, made with Islay barley, Scottish organic barley and the distillery's first biodynamically grown barley. The casks include bourbon, a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask from Fernando de Castilla, Cognac and Sauternes casks, and a Chenin Blanc and a Pauillac red wine cask. The nose shows bready notes, red apple, melon and a little mint, with red wine in the background. The palate brings black pepper, ginger, brown sugar, dark berries and gingerbread. The finish is long, with oak spice and caramelised sugar.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
