Bruichladdich – Links 14 Years Old Carnoustie Golf (70cl, 46%)

Bruichladdich Links 14 Years Old is an Islay single malt from the Carnoustie Golf Links release, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled, matured and bottled at Bruichladdich Distillery. The nose is sweet, floral and complex, with icing sugar, baked apple, pineapple and pear, plus hints of white wine and cinnamon. The palate is silky, creamy and oily, with apple tart, pear cider, toffee and red fruit such as cherries and raspberries. A discreet earthy, mineral background sits underneath, without the dense smoke of classic Islay. The finish runs medium to long, warm and rounded, ending dry and spicy with white pepper and toasted oak.
