Octomore 14.1 is a five-year-old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, peated to 128.9 ppm and bottled at 59.6% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in first-fill American whiskey casks and is made from 100% Scottish Concerto barley, harvested in 2016 and distilled in 2017. It was bottled in 2023, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
On the nose, smoked vanilla, caramel and toffee sit alongside sooty smoke and a little coconut. The palate brings citrus, charred oak and beach-fire embers, with pear, green apple and roasted coffee. The finish carries butterscotch, sea spray and burnt heather.
