Octomore 14.2 is a super heavily peated Scotch single malt from Bruichladdich, with a phenol level of 128.9 ppm. It was distilled in 2017 from 100% Scottish-grown Concerto barley of the 2016 harvest, and is bottled at 57.7% in a 70cl bottle.
Of its five years, four were spent in casks that had held Oloroso sherry and Amarone, first and second fill, followed by one year in Pauillac wine casks. The Oloroso adds a savoury, nutty depth, while the Amarone oak brings rich red fruit.
