Octomore 15.1 is a heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich, in a 70cl bottle at 59.1% ABV. The spirit is peated to 108.2 PPM and distilled from 100% Scottish barley.
It matured in first fill bourbon barrels and re-charred ex-bourbon casks, a pairing intended to draw as much character from the wood as possible. The result is a raw, uncompromising malt in which smooth vanilla custard and sweet charred oak are set against heady peat smoke.
