A heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 57.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This edition of Octomore was matured in a combination of wine and oak casks, and it is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose brings peat smoke, bonfire, citrus, ripe apricot and vanilla, with honey, dried fruit, herbs and toasted oak. The palate is rich, with deep smoke, creamy malt, caramel, dark chocolate and ripe stone fruit, while the wine casks add red fruit and soft spice. The finish is very long, with peat smoke, oak, cocoa, vanilla and a light salty note.
