Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. It is made from 100% Scottish barley and distilled slowly through tall, narrow-necked stills. It was distilled, matured and bottled on Islay, with ten years of ageing on the shores of Loch Indaal.
The nose combines dry, earthy smoke with marine notes, caramel, fudge, vanilla custard, ginger, lemon meringue and clementine. The palate is soft and delicate, with coconut, lemon honey, smoked oysters and salty sand. The finish is smoky and sweet, with fudge, malted barley, orange, mango and apricot.
