Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich. It was conceived, distilled, matured and bottled on Islay, and its maturation is checked every day.
The nose combines oak, smoke and spirit in balance. The smoke is dry, earthy and peaty, and it leaves room for the oak to bring golden caramel, fudge and vanilla custard, with hints of ginger, nutmeg and cloves.
On the palate the texture is soft and delicate. The smoke winds loosely around a sweetness drawn from deep in the oak.
