This Port Charlotte single malt from Bruichladdich was bottled for the Port Charlotte Hotel, in a run of just 237 bottles. It was distilled in 2006, matured in a bourbon cask and bottled in 2017 at 56%, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is very fruity, with peach, apricot and a basket of exotic fruit, plus vanilla wood and honey, much like a good fruit cake. Exotic fruit continues on the palate, now with spices alongside and a green, woody edge. The finish returns to fruit, wood and spices.
