Bruichladdich – The Classic Laddie (70cl, 50%)

The Classic Laddie is an unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from 100% Scottish barley and distilled in tall stills. The whisky is matured in American oak casks and is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. Each bottle carries a batch code that can be looked up online to see the cask breakdown. The nose is of sea air, lemon zest and wildflowers, with soft barley and green apple beneath. The palate is creamy, with sweet malt, honeyed fruit, vanilla and a crisp saltiness. The finish is long, with sea spray, toasted oak and soft citrus peel.
