This is The Laddie 16, a 16 year old Bruichladdich single malt matured in bourbon casks on Islay for its full term. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The notes describe the dry crispness of the barley alongside gooseberry, pineapple, melon and pear. The sweetness of American oak comes through slowly, followed by Brazil nut and caramel, with a hint of banana cake. Wild flower aromatics, attributed to the Islay maturation, run through it.
