The Laddie Eight is an 8 year old Bruichladdich bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matured in bourbon barrels made from American and European oak.
The nose begins with fresh green apple and pear, followed by apricot and pineapple in syrup and oaky vanilla. The palate starts peppery and spicy, then turns sweet with mango and peach. Vanilla, lemon, honey, toffee and a creamy buttery note build in layers, and a second sip brings raspberry, strawberry, a hint of citrus and orange marmalade.
