This is a 10-year-old Islay blended malt, Batch 6 of Brut de Fut, matured in a sherry butt and bottled at 60.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is rich with pound cake, dried prunes, raisins, menthol, citrus peel, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and sweet peat smoke, with chocolate and a hint of leather. On the palate, sweetness from malt and barrel is balanced by fruity acidity and a moderate bitterness reminiscent of powdered spices.
The finish is medium, with a rounded sweetness and a hint of saltiness, becoming dry and crisp.
