Bud Spencer The Legend Peated is a German single malt made by St. Kilian Distillers in Rüdenau, Lower Franconia. It is bottled at 49% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The spirit was distilled twice in copper pot stills and matured for over three years in Amarone red wine casks and American bourbon casks. Peated malt from the Scottish Highlands gives a strong smoky character, while the casks add fruity and sweet notes. The bottling comes from a licensed collaboration around Bud Spencer.
The nose offers intense, ashy smoke and spice, then red grapes, banana, vanilla and toffee. The palate opens clearly sweet, with smoke and light caramel moving to peppery, dry notes. The finish is full and long, with spicy smoke.
