Bud Spencer The Legend is a German single malt from St. Kilian Distillers, matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Amarone casks. The bourbon casks clearly lead, while the Amarone casks add only a light touch of red berries and dry tannins. It won a bronze medal at the Paris Wine & Spirits Trophy in 2022.
The nose is sweet vanilla, ripe pears, a hint of banana, red berries and cherries, with honey, marzipan and some malty notes. The palate has ripe pears with vanilla cream, toffee, subtle spicy oak, shortbread and toasted bread. The finish is medium in length, creamy and vanilla-led, with pear, spicy oak and drying tannins.
