Bud Spencer The Legend Whisky - Mild (St. Kilian) (70cl, 46%)

A blended whisky from St. Kilian in Germany, made with the distillery's own whisky shaped by ex-Amarone casks and a triple-distilled Irish whiskey from ex-bourbon casks. The Irish part comes from the Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk. Mild refers to the absence of smoke. The blend is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without added colour and without chill-filtering. The nose is creamy and sweet, with vanilla, honey and toffee alongside ripe peach, red cherry and raspberry, plus floral hints, oak spice and a pinch of white pepper. The palate begins with warming oak spice and toffee, then peach and cherry fruit spread, honey, red grapes and a light tannin note. The medium-length finish stays creamy and spicy, with red fruit spread, honey, brittle and a little dry oak.
