Buffalo Trace is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. This is a new edition of the classic expression, with vanilla, barrel char and spicy complexity to the fore.
The nose is spicy and sweet, with caramel, creamy toffee eclairs, cinnamon, rum spice and cereal sweetness. On the palate come brown sugar, toffee apple, sweet oak and custard, with oily espresso beans, a touch of chocolate-covered raisins and toasty wood. The finish is of good length, with sweet spices, cinnamon gum and toffee.
