Bulleit 95 Rye Small Batch

Bulleit 95 Rye is a small-batch American rye whiskey with a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It is matured in small charred oak casks, which give it its smoky, spicy and complex character. The Bulleit story begins in the 1830s, when Augustus Bulleit opened a tavern in Louisville, Kentucky and poured whiskey made to his own recipe. He disappeared on a trip to New Orleans, and the business closed for about a century and a half. His great-great-grandson, the lawyer Thomas E. Bulleit Jr., revived it in 1987 and developed the range on his own. The whiskey won a gold medal at the IWSC in 2013.
