This is a 12-year-old Bunnahabhain single malt Scotch, bottled by Thompson Bros at 46.1% ABV. It was released as part of the Pride Of Islay series and has been finished in Madeira wood.
The nose is rich and oily, with coastal minerality, ripe red berries, zesty citrus oils, toasted cinnamon, baking spice and a little soft peanut brittle. The palate keeps that coastal mineral spirit and a mouth-coating texture, with cinnamon, fresh orange peel, honey, walnut oil and ripe red fruits.
The finish is long, with honeyed sweetness, toasted baking spice and walnut oil, and an unpeated Islay coastal character to the end.
