Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old is the original member of the distillery's current core range, first introduced in 1979. It is a 12 year old Islay single malt.
The whisky is matured in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, which brings together the distillery's nutty character and its sherry notes.
The nose is fresh and aromatic, fruity and floral, with dried fruit and a little smoke. The palate is light, with fruit, nuts, sweetness and slight hints of vanilla and caramel. The finish is lingering, rich and full-bodied.
