This is a single-cask Bunnahabhain from Islay, distilled on 13 January 1975 and aged for 44 years in a refill hogshead. Signatory Vintage bottled it in April 2019 as part of its Rare Reserve series, within the Cask Strength Collection.
It was bottled at a natural strength of 45.5% ABV, and 117 bottles were filled.
Bunnahabhain was established in 1881 on the northern coast of Islay. It is known historically for an unpeated or lightly peated spirit, with a style shaped by its maritime setting rather than by smoke.
