Bunnahabhain – 2005 Sherry Hogshead Càrn Mòr Celebration of the Cask (70cl, 52.4%)

This is a 2005 Bunnahabhain from the Càrn Mòr Celebration of the Cask series, an unpeated Islay malt matured in a sherry hogshead. It is bottled at 52.4% in a 70cl bottle, and 192 bottles were released. Rich fruit sits alongside the maritime character associated with Bunnahabhain. The nose and palate offer baked apples, stewed dark berries and honeycomb, followed by a long finish with an elegant, nutty close.
