A heavily peated Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled at six years old by Wilson & Morgan as a Barrel Selection. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Bunnahabhain is usually known for unpeated malt, and this one comes from a smoky batch. It is a clean, malty spirit with a great deal of peat behind it.
The nose is very smoky and ashy, with maritime and medicinal notes. The palate is vegetal and herbal, with black liquorice and gentian root. The finish is warm, peppery and long, with the smoke lingering for minutes.
