Abhainn Araig is a Bunnahabhain created to celebrate Fèis Ìle 2022, bottled at 50.8% in a 70cl bottle. The name is Gaelic for Araig River, which feeds the Margadale River, the spring water source for the distillery's whisky.
The spirit was matured in ex-bourbon casks and in octave casks that previously held Pedro Ximenez sherry, made from specially seasoned European oak. The result is unpeated, sherried, bold and complex, and it was bottled with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
