Bunnahabhain – Mòine (70cl, 46.3%)

This is a peated Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, in a 70cl bottle at 46.3% ABV. Made with peated malted barley and matured in the distillery's coastal warehouses, it offers a smoky take on a house style that is usually gentler. It is bottled without chill filtration and keeps its natural colour. The nose brings sweet grass, dry smoke, sea air, nuts and nougat. On the palate come smoky sweetness, malt, oak, creamy ginger and pepper. The finish is lingering and gently smoky, with a crisp touch of spice.
