Bunnahabhain – Stiùireadair (46.3%)

Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair is an Islay single malt matured in sherry casks. Its name is Gaelic for helmsman, and it is the first Bunnahabhain to honour the Helmsman figure that appears on every bottle. It is bottled at 46.3%, with natural colour and without chill filtering. The master blender chose first-fill and second-fill sherry casks holding spirit of different ages and from different warehouse positions. The aim was a whisky that shows the coastal side of Bunnahabhain while keeping the sherry influence familiar from the 12 year old. It is described as briny and coastal, with a hint of sea spray and dried fruit.
