Bunnahabhain – Toiteach A Dha (46.3%)

Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dha is an Islay single malt bottled at 46.3% ABV. The Gaelic name means 'Smoky Two'. It follows the peated Bunnahabhain Toiteach, with a more prominent core of sherry spice running between the smoky layers. The distillery sits on the north-east coast of Islay and was founded in 1881. The nose offers roasted peanuts, cinnamon, red chilli flakes, blackcurrant and port. On the palate are sea salt and kippers, dark chocolate, sultanas and a hint of cantaloupe. The finish brings barley, dry smoke and pepper.
