Bunnahabhain – Toiteach A Dha (70cl, 46.3%)

Toiteach A Dha is a smoky single malt from Bunnahabhain on Islay, a distillery usually known for unpeated or only lightly peated malts. It belongs to the distillery's Moine range of peated whiskies, and the name means 'Smoky Number Two', marking it as the follow-up to the original Toiteach. It is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. On the nose there are roasted peanuts, cinnamon, red chilli flakes and blackcurrant. The palate brings sea salt, smoked fish, dark chocolate, sultanas and a touch of melon, and the finish carries barley, dry smoke, sherry and pepper.
