Burnside – 2011 11 Year Old Finn Thomson is a whisky from Burnside (Campbeltown). Aged 11 years, bottled at 63.6% ABV, 70cl. Representing the ninth generation, Finn Thomson is a young man who has inherited his family’s 300-year-old passion for whisky. From a small grocer’s in Perth to a multi-national company the Thomson name runs deep in Scottish whisky’s history. This blended malt, single cask release is inspired by Balvenie’s ‘Caribbean Cask’. Instead of Jamaican rum casks, the cask from Burnside distillery has been finish in ‘Devil’s Point Rum’ , from Banchory, Aberdeenshire. Made in a Jamaican dunder style and matured in ex Oloroso sherry octaves cask to give it an extra sweetness. Burnside
