Bushmills The Steamship Collection Rum Cask Reserve (70cl, 40%)

Bushmills Rum Cask Reserve is a triple-distilled Irish whiskey from the Old Bushmills distillery in Northern Ireland, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Steamship Collection, issued for the 125th anniversary of the SS Bushmills sailing to America in 1890 with Bushmills whiskey on board. The whiskey was matured in rum casks, an idea taken from the ship's return voyage, when it called at St Vincent in the Caribbean and was loaded with rum. The nose has very ripe tropical fruit, sweet pineapple, mango and fine spice. The palate is fruity, buttery and vanilla-led, with a touch of white pepper.
