Cadenhead An Orkney is a single malt from an unnamed Orkney distillery, from the 2016 vintage. It matured for six years entirely in ex-Bourbon casks and was bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is creamy, with hay, custard creams and budding gorse. The palate brings heather honey, dry embers, golden syrup and nougat.
The finish runs to pineapple juice, stroopwafels, rock salt and oatcakes.
