Cadenhead's Enigma 15 Year Old (70cl, 54.8%)

Enigma is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Cadenhead's, bottled at 54.8%. The casks were bought without the originating distillery being named, though they are known to come from Islay. It is not the typically medicinal Islay style, but a smoky whisky all the same. The nose offers apple wood, marzipan, vanilla and sponge cake. The palate brings creme brulee and chipotle sauces, and the finish runs to honey and lemon sweets, chorizo and salt.
