Canadian Club 100% Rye is a Canadian whisky made from a mashbill of rye alone, with no corn or barley, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is distilled at Alberta Distillers in Calgary and bottled at the Walkerville facility in Ontario.
The whisky is aged in three kinds of barrel: new white American oak, once-used bourbon barrels and seasoned Canadian whisky barrels, then blended.
The nose is sweet fruit and vanilla with toffee, banana, cedar smoke and black pepper. The palate is warm, with vanilla and caramel, then peppery rye spice and a creamy texture. The finish is long, with dried fruit, honey, ginger and a little smoke.
