WhistlePig 10 Year is a straight rye whiskey made from 100% rye and aged for ten years. It comes in a 375ml half bottle at 50%.
The spirit is distilled at Alberta Distillers in Alberta, Canada, then aged in new American oak barrels and finished in second-use bourbon casks. It is bottled at WhistlePig Farm in Vermont.
The nose has allspice, orange peel, anise, caramel and toasted oak. The palate starts with caramel and vanilla, then rye spice and cool mint, with burnt orange and a tannic edge. The finish is long and warming, with butterscotch, caramel, dry oak and rye spice.
