Canadian Club is a blended Canadian whisky, bottled at 40% in a 375ml bottle. It is made at the Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery in Windsor, Ontario, and is often known as 1858.
The blend is made from corn, rye, rye malt and barley malt, and is aged in white oak American bourbon barrels.
The nose is soft, with almond, vanilla and a little peppery rye. The palate opens zesty and lightly spicy, then moves to vanilla, oak, caramel and a gentle creaminess. The finish is clean, dry and fairly short, with warm oak and a faint note of vanilla.
